On October 12, we inaugurated our Ayaş AgriPV project, the first and most comprehensive application in Türkiye on installing a solar power plant with a solar tracking system on an open agricultural field.
The introductory presentations of the project were made by Dr. Çetin Ali DÖNMEZ, Deputy Minister from the T.C. Sanayi ve Teknoloji Bakanlığı | Republic Of Turkey Ministry of Industry and Technology; Prof. Dr. Rasit Turan, ODTÜ-GÜNAM Chair of the Board and METU Physics Department Faculty Member; Emine Doğrukök, Ankara Kalkınma Ajansı / Ankara Development Agency Deputy Secretary; Dr. Metin TURKER, General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies (TAGEM) General Director; and Assoc. Prof. Talat Ozden, ODTÜ-GÜNAM Module Technologies Division Coordinator, as representatives of the project’s partner institutions.
Representatives of all project partner institutions, including ODTÜ-GÜNAM President Tayfun HIZ and the associated executives from the Ayaş District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, examined the vegetables grown in the Ayaş AgriPV field, which was opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony after the project presentations.
CEO Ersan Tufekci from Kalyon PV, CEO Tarzan Tarık Sarvan from CW ENERJİ, CEO Mustafa Herdem from GUMBEL GROUP, Country Representative Suleyman Yilmaz from UNIDO, Chair of the Board Yusuf Bahadir TURHAN from Solar3GW, Agriculture and Rural Development Support Institution (TKDK) President Dr. Ahmet ANTALYALI, and GÜNDER officials (Esen Erkan Yıldız, MSc and Onur BURSALI) also visited the field together with ODTÜ-GÜNAM representatives within the scope of the opening.
