ODTÜ-GÜNAM Researchers’ Article in the Journal “ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces”

The research article titled “Optimization of a Solution-Processed TiOx/(n)c-Si Electron-Selective Interface by Pre- and Postdeposition Treatments”, prepared with the joint work of researchers from ODTÜ-GÜNAM Emerging Photovoltaic Technologies Division and Test-Characterization Technologies Division has been published in the journal ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces (Impact Factor: 9.5).

A vacuum-free and low-temperature fabrication route for silicon solar cells without scarifying from their performance is necessary to increase the performance-to-cost ratio and reduce the CO2 footprint of Si Photovoltaics. The solution-process-based methods hold advantages over other deposition techniques in terms of simplicity and fabrication cost, allowing thin films to be readily deposited at room temperature and atmospheric pressure. The results from this work manifest the high potential of the solution-processed TiOx, introducing a promising strategy for high-performance-to-cost ratio c-Si heterojunction solar cells.
